The full name of the IEEE is the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc., although the organization is referred to by the letters I-E-E-E and pronounced Eye-triple-E. We’re a group of electrical & electronics, computer, mechanical, bio-medical, automotive, bio-engineering, petroleum & natural gas, software, information system engineering students (undergraduate and postgraduate) who want to have fun and meet new people, to learn about research and innovation in technology, to find ourselves and our passions, to help our community, and to get inspired to change the world !!!
IEEE Near East University Student branch (NEU SB) brief information:
The NEU SB vision statement is to make every student to be knowledgeable, self- motivated, professional, creative, visionary, innovative, always up-to-date and competently playing his/her role in shaping the future of science and technology.
IEEE NEU Student Branch participated and created several activities such as follow:
- IEEE SB Website contest and has been selected in the First place on 2008 Competition winners.
- IEEE NEU participates in the University orientation days to give some brief information about the IEEE benefits, SB activities, how to join etc.
- Technical trip for Turkcell Company.
- Celebrated the IEEE Day at NEU, the event were including some presentation from the Chamber of Electrical Engineer, KIB – TEK Engineers and some entertainment activities.
The IEEE NEU SB running now under the supervision of the consular Assist. Prof. Dr. Hüsyin Hacı and Khalid M.Ahmed.
